Job Description

Review and negotiate Purchase Orders and/or Subcontracts to ensure that the scope of work is accurately reflected within the contract documents and that the commercial terms and conditions are acceptable

• Must adhere to Harris Rebar’s safety programs and standards.
• Demonstrate conduct consistent with Harris Rebar’s vision and values.
• On all standard and nonstandard contracts, provide red-lined recommendations and negotiate directly with customers, project managers, purchasing staff and attorneys until agreement has been reached.
• Assist with contractual matters as they arise.
• Perform other duties as required by the supervisor

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Bachelor’s degree

• Have working knowledge of reinforcing steel terms, the construction industry and its general practices
• Previous negotiation experience with key customers and corporate executives
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe/PDF
• Previous experience with reviewing legal contract documents and negotiating mutually agreeable terms with customers

• Must have the ability to communicate in a professional manner when dealing with employees, vendors and other company contacts
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently with little supervision
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
• Be a self-starter who is able to able to learn new concepts and terminology quickly
• Ability to conduct own research as required
• Possess time management, written, and organizational skills
• Work well as a team and collaborate to solve problems

• Vision abilities including close vision and adjusting focus
