Job Description

To become a team member of the safest, most profitable, most customer-focused rebar contractor in North America.  You will join our team of highly trained individuals that work together to custom fabricate by cutting, bending, bundling and/or epoxy coating reinforcing steel bars, the backbone of our great nation, in accordance with customer’s orders.
You will join one of three teams.  Commercial fabrication that creates the specified reinforcing bars to construct buildings and structures such as warehouses, schools, shopping centers and city high rises etc.  Epoxy Fabrication that creates the reinforcing bars for roads, highways, dams and bridges that can stretch for miles.  Epoxy Coating that supplies our facility and many others with coated material.

•Must adhere to Harris Rebar’s safety programs and standards.
•Understands conduct consistent with Harris Rebar’s vision and values.
•Operating machine and equipment under supervision at a basic operational level such as:
               a.Shearing Machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to specific lengths.
               b.Bending Machine to bend reinforcing steel bars to specific shape.
               c.Forklift to move, assemble and select material to be fabricated or shipped.
               d.Overhead crane to move, assemble and select material to be fabricated or shipped.
               e.Grit blaster and Powder coating booth to clean and epoxy coat bars.
               f.Power spray gun in application of epoxy touch up paint.
               g.Other various hand tools to assist in the fabrication process.
•Unloading trailers to store material in storage bins.
•Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping.
•Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner.
•Assist other teammates in any of the above tasks.

•Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
•Must have a high school diploma, GED or local/state equivalent 

•Must have basic math skills to be able to calculate bar measurements

•Due to the operating conditions of the position, this is a safety sensitive position
•Must be able to work overtime when required
•Must be able to work any shift

•Some heavy lifting may be necessary
•Working conditions can be noisy/ dusty/ hot/ cold
•Strong use of hands
