Job Description

Provide administrative assistance to the Branch by performing tasks that are more repetitive in nature and of less complexity. Perform support at a basic operational level regarding two or more of the essential support functions necessary for the operation of the branch, including Human Resources support, production scheduling/shipping, inventory support inside sales support, and basic accounting/bookkeeping support.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE

  1. Demonstrate conduct consistent with Harris Rebar’s vision and values.
  2. Assist with answering phones and general office administration functions.
  3. Report weekly payroll hours.
  4. Communicate/distribute all pertinent Human Resources information to location employees.
  5. Assist with maintenance of record keeping including safety, workers compensation, etc.
  6. Maintain strict confidentiality with regard to Human Resources and payroll issues.
  7. Assist with administrative safety activities including the completion of first aid reports, accident investigations and other reports as needed.
  8. Assist sales and estimating staff in the preparation of sales bids and project quotations.
  9. Assist with coordinating shop production schedule with the Shop Manager and detailers to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  10. Assist with arranging trucking with approved freight companies and schedule deliveries
  11. Develop exceptional working relationships with customers and vendors.
  12. Prepare and record necessary paperwork.
  13. Assist with basic accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks.
  14. Perform other duties as required by the Manager
  15. Filing and Organizing of paperwork
  16. Light office cleaning and organization

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or GED
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills and math skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Able to coordinate multiple tasks and work under deadline pressure
• Accuracy and attention to detail are essential

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
• Two year diploma from an accredited school or college
