Job Description

PURPOSE:
Detail simple projects with supervision and provide concise, accurate and complete descriptions of all post tensioning cable, mesh wire and related products for fabrication, delivery, installation and invoicing in the most efficient manner possible.  Cultivate a customer service relationship while maximizing profits for Harris Rebar.
 

BASIC FUNCTIONS
• Must adhere to Harris Rebar’s safety programs and standards.
• Demonstrate conduct consistent with Harris Rebar’s vision and values.
• Create shop drawing, and manage projects with regards to detailing per contract documents, per scope (per purchase order or inclusions and exclusions) within budget, under the estimate, per sequence, per schedule, and per the customers’ requirements.
• Develop basic knowledge of post tensioning cable industry including reference material (i.e. PTI and ACI manuals).
• Review and verify drawings, dates, specifications, addenda and other contractual information.
• Responsible for interpreting complex multi-product contract documents.
• Represent Harris Rebar and liaise between contractor, engineer, placer, and detailer.
• Pre-plan all projects for critical path, scope, schedules, VE potential, and market conditions.
• Review all changes and ensure all detailers are providing information for all changes orders to maximize all possible returns for the branch.
• Be involved with all construction conflicts/disputes, and help with the resolution providing a timely and cost effective solution.
• Perform other duties as required by your supervisor.
 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting issued from an accredited school or college or currently enrolled
• Must have a high school diploma, GED or local/state equivalent
• At least six months experience with AutoCAD and Windows based software
• Able to read architectural/engineering blue prints
• Able to report to work at office location of position

PREFERENCES
• Two year technical degree from an accredited school or college
• Construction knowledge and experience helpful - concrete related construction knowledge and experience particularly helpful
• Project Management experience

• Lifting/handling computers and related equipment Vision abilities including close vision and adjusting focus
