Job Description

PURPOSE:

The Safety Administrator assists in administering the implementation of field safety programs and will provide support in processing workman’s compensation claims under the direction of the Safety Director.  The Safety Administrator collaborates closely with HDR field management and supervisors and maintains all Safety recordkeeping and training records ensuring their accuracy and completeness on a timely basis.

 

BASIC FUNCTIONS

  • Must adhere to Harris Davis Rebar’s safety programs and standards.
  • Demonstrate conduct consistent with Harris Davis Rebar’s vision and values.
  • Ensure records are kept updated within internal Safety tracking systems.
  • Update and monitor status of Third Party Qualifiers.
  • Scan and catalog site safety documents in appropriate job folders.
  • Track incoming paperwork related to jobsite injuries.
  • Monitor supervisor training and driving records.
  • Assist the Safety Director with the coordination of workman’s compensation claims
  • Complete all other duties as assigned by the Safety Director.

 

 

 

Job Requirements

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
  • At minimum, two (2) years of administrative support experience
  • Proficient with MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint

PREFERENCES

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification

 SPECIAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to work overtime when required
  • Limited travel

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Typical office and construction site activities
  • Walking, sitting, standing, bending, climbing ladders and scaffold towers
  • Using hands to operate objects, tools computers and electronic equipment
  • Lifting/handling (typically not more than 25 pounds)
  • Vision abilities including close vision and adjusting focus
