Job Description

PURPOSE: The H&S Administrator will be responsible to ensure all daily, weekly and monthly reporting is completed within the assigned reporting deadlines. As well as be responsible and held accountable to ensure H&S documentation is maintained in meeting current legislation and Harris Rebar Policies and Procedures.



  • Producing H&S statistics
  • Recording incidents into Intelex
  • Produce weekly/monthly incident and trend analysis reports
  • Formulating graphs of statistical information
  • Record meeting minutes
  • Complete and/or assist Harris Rebar/VSL Canada orientations for new employee personnel
  • Collect and enter training certificate information into Intelex training database.
  • Monitor and maintain Intelex training database for expiring certifications. Provide Monthly reports if necessary
  • Responsible for uploading and maintaining HSE data management on Intelex
  • Provide support to other operational disciplines as H&S assigned tasks permit
  • Formatting and distributing safety alerts and safety alert binders
  • Administer manual updates
  • Assisting to format pre-qualification packages & site incident reports
  • Monitoring inventory of HSE supplies (PPE, forms, books, etc.)
  • Promote a positive safety culture with a target for zero incidents
  • Support and lead Harris Rebar/VSL Canada company and site H&S program





Job Requirements



  • Previous office administration experience
  • Priority Management
  • Diploma in office administration or similar is preferred
  • Accountability for accurate data reporting
  • Experience dealing with a high volume workload;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel (graphing & advanced formulas) and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
  • Motivation to develop skills associated to administrative support
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks on a daily basis
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain accurate and detailed information
  • Working knowledge of COR audit protocols and due diligence filing systems
  • Working knowledge using H&S standards, codes and practices
  • Excellent time management skills; attention to detail; and the capacity to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency
  • Provide support to operations and administration for the on‐going development of the Harris Rebar’s Safety Management System if required.
